Patriotic emulation movements create new momentum for Ninh Binh’s development: State Vice President

Recognising and highly appreciating the results, achievements as well as the important contributions of the emulation movement and commendation work for the comprehensive development of Ninh Binh province over the past 5 years, Xuan said that the patriotic emulation movements of the province have increasingly developed extensively, integrated with the campaigns and emulation movements of the central sectors and organisations, creating a strong driving force, attracting people from all walks of life to participate. Thereby, many typical and advanced examples have emerged.

Agreeing with the tasks and solutions set out by the Congress, the Vice President suggested Ninh Binh province continue to thoroughly grasp Ho Chi Minh's thought and the Politburo’s Directive 41-CT/TW dated December 26, 2024 on emulation and commendation work; innovate the content and form of emulation, associated with the key emulation movements of the country.

Ninh Binh should organise patriotic emulation movements closely linked with the province’s political tasks, first of all focusing on emulation to achieve achievements to welcome the Congress of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Organisation for the 2025 - 2030 term and successfully complete the socio-economic targets in 2025, she said.

The province needs continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of the Emulation and Reward Councils at all levels and improve the quality of the staff doing emulation and reward work with sufficient qualifications, capacity, enthusiasm, meeting the requirements in the new situation, Xuan suggested.

The Vice President believed that promoting the fine traditions of the homeland of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu with a thousand years of culture and the achievements that have been achieved, with high political determination, strong aspirations for development, Ninh Binh will continue to reap even greater achievements in the coming time, making worthy contributions to the overall development of the country.

In the period of 2025 - 2030, Ninh Binh province determined to continue to thoroughly grasp, propagate and implement President Ho Chi Minh's viewpoints on patriotic emulation, the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws on emulation and rewards.

The province will strengthen the leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels, promotes the role and responsibility of setting examples of cadres and Party members, especially the heads of agencies, units, localities, organisations and enterprises so that emulation truly becomes a regular activity of each level, each sector, unit and individual.

Launching the patriotic emulation movement of the province for the period of 2025 - 2030, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee Truong Quoc Huy emphasised that administrations all levels, sectors, localities and people of all walks of life should strive to compete, focus on building and implementing mechanisms and policies to ensure synchronization and harmony in all fields, striving for an average growth rate of over 11% per year in the period of 2025 - 2030, per capita income by 2030 to reach over 180 million VND; competing for harmonious social development, sustainable poverty reduction, striving to reduce the poverty rate to below 1.0% by the end of 2030 according to the multi-poverty standard for the period 2026 - 2030.

At the same time, authorities at all levels, sectors and localities must compete to promote administrative reform, build a system of state administrative agencies that are transparent, clean, strong, modern, effective and efficient, build and rectify the Party and a clean and strong political system, he said.

Over the past five years, the emulation contents have been concretised by Ninh Binh province in all aspects and fields. Awareness and sense of responsibility of Party committees, Party organisations, authorities, departments, branches and organisations in directing and organising emulation movements have been improved.

Over the past five years, the province has had more than 31,900 collectives and individuals being commended.

Authorized by the State President, State Vice President, First Vice Chairwoman of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded a First-Class Labour Order to the Party Organisation, administration and people of Ninh Binh province for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas in the period of 2021-2025".

At the Congress, six individuals were awarded First-, Second- and Third- Class Labour Orders conferred by the State President.

Many collectives and individuals were awarded the Emulation Flag and Certificates of merit by the Prime Minister and the Certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in implementing patriotic emulation movements in Ninh Binh province in the period of 2020 - 2025.

On this occasion, Xuan presented gifts from the Vietnam Children's Support Fund to poor and disadvantaged students with academic achievements in Ninh Binh province and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers attending the Congress./.
