The Ninh Binh provincial People’s Committee on September 10 organised a tourism promotion conference, the second of its kind, in Osaka, Japan.

The conference was chaired by Tran Song Tung, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
Leaders of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sport, and the provincial People’s Committee’s Office; and representatives of Xuan Truong Construction Company; Tam Chuc Tourism Service Company.
Representatives of Vietnamese diplomatic agencies in Japan; Vietjet Air; Vietnam Japan Friendship Association in Kansai; leaders of Okinawa, Hyogo, Kobe and Sakai and 80 delegates from businesses, trade unions, and media agencies from both Japan and Vietnam also attended the event.

Speaking at the conference, the leader of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee introduced the province's potential and strengths in history, culture and tourism, and emphasised the orientation of developing green - creative - sustainable - internationally integrated tourism with the goal of welcoming about 30 million visitors by 2030, including 4 - 5 million international visitors; contributing about 15% to the GRDP value, with a vision to 2050, Ninh Binh strives to become a leading tourism - cultural centre in Southeast Asia, a global creative city recognized by UNESCO, and one of the valuable "outdoor studios" of the world cinema.
In the strategy of expanding and diversifying the international tourist markets, Ninh Binh province identifies Japan as a key market with great potential. Japanese tourists have a large source, high spending ability, diverse needs for experiences, and Japan also has similarities in culture, history and long-standing traditions with Vietnam.
Ninh Binh's typical tourism products such as heritage tourism, spiritual tourism, resorts, golf, community tourism and nature experiences are very suitable for the tastes and trends of Japanese tourists.
Also at the conference, a representative of Evoltech Company (Japan) introduced Ninh Binh tourism tours specifically for the Japanese market.
Delegates discussed and asked questions about improving the quality and tourism products of Ninh Binh province, strategies and incentives to attract Japanese tourists.
Also at the conference, there was a programme to sign a cooperation agreement between typical Ninh Binh tourism businesses and Japanese partners.
The event was a follow-up activity to the success of the First Tourism Promotion Conference in Tokyo (2024), demonstrating Ninh Binh province's determination to expand bilateral cooperation, while introducing to international friends the unique cultural, historical and natural values of Ninh Binh./.
