Ninh Binh enters top 3 provinces with highest economic growth

This achievement reflects the drastic efforts in managing the province’s socio-economic development in the context of many difficulties and challenges.

Comprehensive economic growth, positive structural shift

The socio-economic picture of Ninh Binh in the first nine months shows a clear and comprehensive improvement in all fields.

The GRDP growth rate is estimated at 10.45%, making Ninh Binh one of the three localities with the highest growth rate in the country.

The scale of the economy at current prices reached over 248 trillion VND (9.41 billion USD), with a positive structural shift: Industry construction making up 46.52%, services accounting for 34.47%, and agriculture - forestry - fishery contributing 11.08%. Industry remains an economic locomotive of Ninh Binh, when the production index increased by 22.03% over the same period.

The disbursement rate of public investment capital reached 91.3% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister. Total state budget revenue in the first nine months is estimated at 49.12 trillion VND, reaching 65.3% of the estimate assigned by the provincial People's Council, up 70.9% over the same period.

Total social development investment capital in the first nine months reached 121.26 trillion VND, up 21.2%. The whole province recorded 267 new projects, including 197 domestic projects (total registered capital of 46.74 trillion VND) and 70 FDI projects (924 million USD).

One of the impressive highlights is that Ninh Binh's state budget revenue in the first nine months reached 49.12 trillion VND, up 70.9% over the same period last year, reaching 65.3% of the year's estimate. Of which, domestic revenue increased by 48.7%, and land use fee revenue increased by 2.5 times.

The province's import and export grew dramatically, with export turnover of nearly 19 billion USD (up 66.1%) and import turnover of 17.13 billion USD (up 67.3%).

Ninh Binh has paid special attention to investing and upgrading socio-economic infrastructure, especially key projects on regional and inter-regional transport infrastructure, industrial parks and clusters.

Ninh Binh’s tourism has achieved many important results, continuing to affirm its position as a major tourism hub of the region, with many large-scale cultural, sports and tourism events successfully organised.

The number of visitors and tourism revenue continued to grow positively, creating momentum to promote the development of other industries and fields. The province attracted nearly 16.8 million visitors, up 27.9% over the same period, reaching 93.26% of the yearly plan. Total tourism revenue in the first nine months is estimated at more than 17.9 trillion VND, up 41.08% over the same period last year, reaching 99.42% of the yearly plan.

Ninh Binh is considered one of the localities that has well implemented the National Target Programme on New-style Rural Development.

Political security, social order and safety have been ensured; cultural and social affairs have seen progress, and the material and spiritual life of the people has continued to improve.

Focus on thoroughly grasping and implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term

After three months of merging the province and implementing the two-level local administration model, Ninh Binh has promoted the spirit of solidarity and achieved many comprehensive results.

Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc asked sectors and localities to focus on thoroughly grasping and implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, studying and proposing specialised resolutions to effectively carry out the tasks of the entire term.

Along with that, Ninh Binh province will continue to focus on solutions to promote economic growth, boost production and business, disburse public investment capital, remove difficulties for enterprises, review planning, speed up the progress of off-budget projects, resolutely revoke projects that are behind schedule and lack capacity, he said.

The province will continue to build policies to develop grassroots culture, preserve and promote traditional cultural values; and handle environmental issues, Ngoc added./.
