To prepare well for serving tourists before, during, and after the Lunar New Year, the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has assigned departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of wards and communes to thoroughly understand and strictly implement the directives of the central authorities and Ninh Binh province regarding the organisation of the Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse 2026.
It also directs the organisation of cultural, artistic, festival, and tourism events in a solemn, practical, safe, and economical manner and in accordance with the customs, traditions, and fine cultural heritage of the nation.
The Department of Tourism is requested to direct local tourist areas, attractions, and tourism businesses and service providers to develop plans for organising activities to serve tourists during the Lunar New Year holiday. Strict adherence to regulations on hygiene, environmental protection, food safety, and necessary conditions for serving tourists is required. Simultaneously, attention should be paid to the well-being of employees and union members, creating conditions for them to enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate the New Year.
It must strengthen management and control of the quality of tourism services and tourist transport, promptly and strictly handle violations; prevent the failure to publicly display prices and selling at prices different from those listed; prevent harassment and coercion of tourists during peak periods; and monitor tourism promotion and incentive programmes.
The department is asked to promote the promotion of civilised tourism behavior at tourist areas and attractions; and ensure that tourist support centres and hotlines operate effectively, promptly providing information and resolving tourist complaints in the area.
The Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of wards and communes to urgently carry out urban beautification, improve the green space system and street lighting, and ensure security, order, and environmental sanitation in their areas.
At the same time, they are required to strictly implement measures to prevent and control diseases, fires, and ensure food safety; and to take measures to ensure the safety of the health, lives, and property of tourists. They are also urged to proactively improve the quality of services and the attitude of the people towards tourists.
