In response to Typhoon Ragasa the 9th entering the East Sea this year, Ninh Binh province has ordered a sea ban.
Amid the complicated and unpredictable developments of storm No. 5, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Truong Quoc Huy and a working delegation on August 25 afternoon inspected and directed the preparedness in Dong Hoa Lu ward, Quang Thien commune and Kim Dong commune.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha urged local athorities and relevant agencies to remain vigilant, and instructed police forces to ensure residents stay indoors from 11:00 to 18:00 on August 25 while chairing an emergency meeting on the same day to direct response measures to Typhoon Kajiki, the fifth storm to hit the East Sea this year.
As Typhoon Wipha is approaching, residents in Ninh Binh, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and Thanh Hoa have taken proactive measures.
