A delegation of Ninh Binh, Bac Lieu, Phu Yen, Quang Binh, and Vinh Long provinces and Hue city paid a working visits to the Czech Republic from June 3 - 4.At a conference to connect Vietnamese localities and the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.

At a conference held in Karlovy Vary city to connect Vietnamese localities and the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, Vice Director of the provincial Department of Tourism Pham Duy Phong informed participants about Ninh Binh’s potential, strengths and development orientations in the past years. He emphasised that the province has paid special attention to boosting economic development in a “green, harmonic and sustainable manner”, taking cultural heritage preservation and historical tradition of ancient Hoa Lu capital’s people as momentum of development.
At the conference, the two sides proposed a number of contents. Accordingly, Karlovy Vary will support the appraisal and assessment of hot mineral resources in Cuc Phuong and Kenh Ga to ensure compliance with European standards, serving tourists; promote cooperation in training human resources of Ninh Binh, especially in the fields of health and tourism; enhance the promotion of culture, people and nature of the two localities to tourists.
* Also within the framework of the working programme, the provincial delegation participated in a seminar to share experiences, connect businesses and seek investment cooperation opportunities organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic in coordination with the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Czech Republic and Europe, the Union of Vietnamese Business Associations in the Czech Republic and Europe.

Speaking at the working session, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam provided an overview of the economic and political situation of the Czech Republic and the Vietnamese community there.
At the same time, he emphasised that the visit of the delegation representing Vietnamese localities was a specific activity to contribute to upgrading the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
After listening to the report on the potential, strengths, development opportunities to attract investment as well as the orientations for building a creative city, a millennium heritage city of Ninh Binh province, business leaders in the Czech Republic and Europe expressed their impression and hope that Ninh Binh province in particular, and Vietnamese localities in general, will create favourable conditions and policies for overseas Vietnamese to invest in the country. The parties also agreed to increase information and promote cooperation in areas of strength.
The working trip was of great significance to promote and advertise Ninh Binh culture and tourism, call for investment and promote bilateral cooperation. This also opened up opportunities to promote cooperation between domestic enterprises and businesses in the Czech Republic./.
