Ninh Binh: Numerous tourist sites suspend operations due to heavy rain
At the Trang An Ecotourism site, the management board has not closed the entire site but has temporarily adjusted sightseeing routes because of rising water level in certain caves.
At Thung Nham eco-tourism site, sightseeing tours to explore But Cave - Mermaid Cave and Vai Gioi Cave temporarily close from September 16.
The local authority has also directed a temporary ban of overnight stays in Cuc Phuong National Park, effective from September 16 until further notice.
Given that the province's tourism offerings rely heavily on waterways, caves, forests, mountains, and outdoor activities, prolonged heavy rain has impacted boat transport, cave tours, forest trekking, and ecotourism routes.
As rainfall and water levels can change rapidly, the operational status, sightseeing routes, and ticket sales at specific sites may be adjusted throughout the day.
