Ninh Binh fixes cash gifts for poor and near-poor households on occasion of Lunar New Year

At its recent 7th session, the 15th Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Council approved a resolution on fixing cash gifts to beneficiaries on the occasion of the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) the longest and most important event of the Vietnamese people.

Accordingly, the gifts of 500,000 VND per person will be presented to elderly people aged 100 and above.

The gifts of 700,000 VND will be handed over to each poor household and 500,000 VND for near-poor families.

The funding will come from the provincial budget.

This resolution takes effect from January 1, 2026.

The gift-giving activities during Tet will take place before the Lunar New Year, ensuring that no one is left behind during the traditional Tet holiday./.
