Revolutionary contributors to receive cash handouts for Lunar New Year

The government has issued a resolution on providing cash handouts to revolutionary contributors and other social policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the 14th Party Congress and the Lunar New Year.

The money gifts are given on the occasion of the 14th Party Congress and the Lunar New Year.

Specifically, people with meritorious service to the revolution, social protection beneficiaries and old-age pensioners will receive 400,000 VND (about 15 USD) per person.

The distribution of the cash handouts is expected to be completed by the end of December 2025.

The Ministry of Finance is tasked with allocating the budget for implementing this policy, while the State Bank of Viet Nam is responsible for ensuring that the payment system operates smoothly during this period.

Provincial authorities may decide to present gifts to other vulnerable groups at their discretion.
