Ninh Binh establish Coordinating Council for Smart Urban Development

The establishment of the council is based on the Government’s Decree 269/2025/ND-CP on smart urban development, along with major policies such as the Politburo’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

According to the decision, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh serves as the Chairman of the Council. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Dung serves as the Standing Vice Chairman of the Council, while the Director of the Department of Construction is the Vice Chairman of the Council.

The council's function is to advise and assist the Provincial People's Committee in directing the implementation of smart urban development tasks as prescribed. Simultaneously, the council will coordinate the implementation of activities related to the Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Project 06 of the province.

In addition, the council will coordinate with departments, agencies, and localities to organise the implementation of programmes, projects, and solutions for smart urban development; and promptly address difficulties and obstacles during implementation.

The establishment of the Coordinating Council is expected to create unity in direction, improve the effectiveness of implementing smart urban development solutions, contribute to promoting digital transformation, and enhance the quality of urban management and the lives of people in Ninh Binh province./.
