Millions of pilgrims and tourists are attending spring festivals in Ninh Binh, the biggest of which are the Bai Dinh pagoda festival in Tay Hoa Lu ward, Tran temple festival in Nam Dinh ward, Phu Day temple, Vieng market festival in Vu Ban commune; Tran Temple Seal-Opening Festival in Thien Truong ward, Doi Son ploughing festival in Tien Son ward….
Police forces at localities, said measures are in place to ensure security and order: “Local residents are taught heritage, tourism, transport laws and appropriate behavior when dealing with tourists. We’ve also told them about food safety and hygiene. Monks and nuns at pagodas have also received training.”
Nguyen Thi Hanh, a visitor from Hanoi, said: “The environment is much cleaner than in previous years. There are no eateries near the places of worship. The organization of this year’s festival is much better.”
To prepare well for serving tourists before, during and after the Lunar New Year, the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has assigned departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of wards and communes to thoroughly understand and strictly implement the directives of the central authorities and Ninh Binh province regarding the organisation of the Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse 2026.
It also directs the organisation of cultural, artistic, festival, and tourism events in a solemn, practical, safe, and economical manner and in accordance with the customs, traditions, and fine cultural heritage of the nation.
