Ninh Binh enhances connectivity, expands cooperation with partners in Sweden

A delegation from Ninh Binh province, led by Dinh Thi Lua, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province, paid a working visit to Sweden from October 3-7.

As part of the visit, the delegation held a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden.
Welcoming the Ninh Binh delegation, Counsellor and Chargé d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden Dan Anh Tuan gave an overview of Sweden, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Sweden, and the potential for bilateral cooperation. Vietnam and Sweden established diplomatic relations on January 11, 1969.
Sweden was the first Western country to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam and actively supported Vietnam during its struggle for national independence and reunification, as well as in the subsequent process of national construction and development.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden stands ready to accompany, coordinate with and support Vietnamese localities in their external activities, strengthen connections with partners in Sweden, and contribute to making Vietnam-Sweden cooperation increasingly substantive and effective.
For her part, Lua said the delegation sought to learn from Sweden's experience in developing digital infrastructure, building smart cities and pursuing comprehensive digital transformation. The delegation also wished to exchange views on supply-chain models and modern logistics systems, while exploring opportunities to boost exports of Ninh Binh's agricultural products, processed foods, and environmentally friendly and bio-based products to Sweden and the Nordic region.
She called on the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden to continue supporting Ninh Binh in keeping abreast of developments in the local market and connecting the province with relevant agencies, organisations, associations and businesses. She also asked the embassy to help promote Ninh Binh's image, potential, products, culture and tourism among Swedish partners.
As part of the working programme, the Ninh Binh delegation also visited and held a working session with Ericsson in Stockholm.

At the meeting, the delegation learned about Ericsson's experience in developing digital infrastructure and applying 5G technology in manufacturing, urban management and tourism. The two sides also discussed opportunities for professional exchanges and explored potential areas of cooperation between Ericsson and Ninh Binh in the coming time.
The delegation subsequently visited and worked with Luxia AB, a company specialising in the import-export, trading and distribution of food and consumer goods, as well as logistics, transport and freight forwarding services in Sweden and the Nordic region.

The meeting focused on market demand, supplier requirements, product standards and opportunities to connect products from Ninh Binh-based businesses with Luxia AB's distribution network.
Speaking at the meeting, Lua said Ninh Binh is seeking to promote trade and expand export markets, particularly for agricultural products, processed foods and environmentally friendly products.
The delegation therefore hoped that Luxia AB would share its international experience and provide information on the stringent technical standards of the Swedish and EU markets regarding warehousing and logistics systems, cold-chain supply chains, as well as import regulations for agricultural products, processed foods and bio-based products from developing countries.
The delegation also expressed its interest in exploring cooperation between Ninh Binh and Luxia AB in trade connectivity and supporting local businesses in strengthening their capacity to meet EU market standards, thereby helping the province's key products gain deeper access to retail and restaurant networks in Sweden.
Ninh Binh province pledged to stand ready to accompany businesses and create the most favourable conditions for cooperation, while supporting connections with reputable local producers to establish stable sources of high-quality products that meet the requirements of Luxia AB in particular and the Nordic market in general.
According to the working programme, from October 8-10, the delegation will continue its visit and working programme in Norway./.
