More Hyundai Palisade cars exported to Thailand

This is the fourth batch of Hyundai Palisade cars exported to Thailand in October, raising the total number to 110.

Hyundai Palisade is the most premium SUV model of Hyundai, which has been manufactured and distributed in Vietnam since September 2023.

This shipment is part of the company’s plan to export over 4,000 Hyundai vehicles to countries in the region during the 2024-2025 period. Among these, Hyundai Palisade is Hyundai's premium sport utility vehicle (SUV), which has been produced and distributed in Vietnam since September 2023.

Notably, with a localisation rate of over 40%, Hyundai Palisade not only meets stringent technical requirements but also qualifies for tariff preferences under the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (AFTA), which provides it a significant competitive advantage for international exports.

Addressing at the event, Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan said that the ceremony marked a new milestone in Hyundai Thanh Cong’s automobile manufacturing and assembly when it reached out to international markets.

Stressing that Ninh Binh has set a target of turning itself into a leading national hub of mechanics with the automobile industry as the main pillar so the province will continue to accompany and create favourable conditions for firms, including Hyundai Thanh Cong, to operate and expand production, Huan added.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai said the event also proved the quality of “Made-in-Vietnam” cars that could meet demand of the domestic market and stringent standards of more developing countries in the region.

Apart from Hyundai Palisade, Hyundai Thanh Cong is planning to export cars of other segments such as B, B-SUV, D-SUV, D-PMV to Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia and other countries in Southeast Asia.
