Vietnamese athletes have made a promising start at the ongoing Jujitsu World Championship 2025 in Thailand, earning one silver and one bronze medal.
The result capped a strong campaign for coach Mai Duc Chung’s squad, who once again proved their dominance over their regional rivals and closed the tournament with a well-deserved bronze medal on home turf.
With the victory, Vietnam finished the group stage with a perfect score of nine points, overtaking Thailand to claim the top spot in Group A and set up a semifinal clash as group leaders.
Demonstrating their superior form, the Thai women’s team cruised to a straight-sets victory, winning 25 16, 25 16, and 25 21. With this result, Thailand remains unbeaten across both legs of the tournament so far.
The victory provides Vietnam with crucial psychological momentum ahead of their upcoming group stage encounters against Indonesia and Thailand.
