Vietnam’s leading multi-sports park launched in Ninh Binh

Positioned as one of the largest sports parks of its kind in Vietnam, the project is expected to become a new destination for sports enthusiasts, recreational activities, and modern lifestyle experiences.

Covering 22 hectares in the heart of Sun Urban City’s Lam Ha ward, Sun Sports City Ninh Binh features a network of 58 sports courts and training facilities, capable of simultaneously hosting seven popular sports, including football, pickleball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and athletics-based running activities.

A key highlight of the complex is its cluster of 41 covered pickleball courts, equipped with modern facilities and infrastructure.

Designed as an open sports park, the development’s centerpiece is a nearly 3,000-seat stadium, scheduled for completion in August 2026. The venue will feature a FIFA-standard 11-a-side football pitch, an eight-lane athletics track, and facilities for basic Olympic disciplines such as high jump, long jump, javelin throw, and shot put. Upon completion, the stadium is expected to meet the requirements for hosting national-level sporting events.

One of the park’s most distinctive landmarks is a sculpture comprising five bronze rings, blending the symbolism of the Olympic rings with the traditional Doi Tam drum, a cultural icon of Ha Nam region. Beyond its architectural appeal, the structure serves as a signature symbol of Sun Sports City Ninh Binh, reflecting the project’s ambition to combine international sporting standards with local cultural identity.

According to Nguyen Xuan Chien, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Group’s Northern Region, Sun Sports City Ninh Binh will further enhance the entertainment, leisure, and tourism ecosystem of Sun Urban City.

The multi-sport park is expected not only to create a premier destination for sports enthusiasts nationwide but also to support the development of Vietnam’s first integrated sports and entertainment urban model within Sun Urban City.
