This year, the artwork on Tam Coc rice field will present a completely new design with the theme "Two Horses Bring Successes" - a symbol rich in cultural significance, expressing aspirations for success, prosperity, and good things in the new year.
The field will be designed with the theme "Two Horses Bring Successes".
Over the years, the Tam Coc art field, located in the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area, has become a unique highlight, contributing to the Ninh Binh tourism brand. Each year, on the vast rice fields along the Ngo Dong River, giant murals are created with many unique themes such as festival flags, shepherds playing flutes, and fish leaping over the dragon gate.
Continuing this creative tradition, in 2026, the field will be designed with the theme "Two Horses Bring Successes," possessing both symbolic depth and artistic merit.
In Vietnamese culture, the horse is a symbol of loyalty, resilience, good fortune, and success. In ancient times, horses were used as a means of transport and communication, especially in wars; the image of a horse returning often signaled good news or victory.
To create this artistic masterpiece in the rice fields, even before the Lunar New Year, the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area Management Board coordinated with local authorities to implement a planting plan, guiding farmers to plant within the correct timeframe.

The Thai Xuyen rice variety was again chosen due to its sturdy stems, good pest and disease resistance, suitability to the local soil, and ability to meet the requirements for shaping. Farmers received full support with seeds and fertilizers, and were guided on planting techniques for each plot and specific line.
Compared to previous years, the "Two Horses Bring Successes" sculpture is considered more difficult in terms of both technique and composition.
The selection of the horse as the mascot for 2026 also carries profound symbolic and philosophical implications. The artwork is not only a highlight of the Ninh Binh landscape but also a tribute to genuine effort, affirming that all true success stems from human perseverance and dedication.
It is expected that when the rice ripens, coinciding with the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026, the entire formation will be clearly visible amidst the golden hues of the rice fields.
More than just a tourism product, the Tam Coc art rice field also affirms creative thinking in combining agriculture, art, and tourism. Through this, it contributes to refreshing the image of the destination, enhancing competitiveness, and asserting Ninh Binh's position on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world./.
