UNESCO delegation visits Hoa Lu ancient town
Delighted that the local community always has the awareness and responsibility to join hands with local authorities and businesses to protect the heritage, the delegation expressed the hope that based on sustainable development orientations and jointly implemented scientific projects, Ninh Binh will continue to preserve and promote heritage values associated with protecting the ecological environment and developing sustainable tourism. This contributes to the successful implementation of UNESCO's requirements and recommendations to preserve, promote and transfer intact the value of this world heritage to future generations.
The delegation's tour programme is also a good opportunity for Ninh Binh to affirm and promote the image of tourism and the people of the ancient capital with a thousand years of history and culture to domestic and international friends.
Previously, the delegation visited and experienced Hoa Lu ancient town, the delegates admired the unique traditional architecture and space, with tiled roof houses, wooden pillars, and colourful lantern decorations.
This space also brings harmony between the past and the present, with booths displaying handicraft products from famous craft villages, such as Bo Bat pottery, which left a special impression on the delegates with the unique patterns and images of Ninh Binh's mountains and rivers on each product.
Many delegates enjoyed cultural and artistic activities such as Music performances on Ky Lan Lake, enjoying Xam singing bamboo dancing.
At the culinary area, the UNESCO delegation had a deeper feeling about the warm welcome of the province, the cheerful, optimistic spirit, and the pride in the world heritage of those working in tourism, along with the service of the interesting dishes in Ninh Binh.
