Two main sections of bridge between Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh connected
Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan and Secretary of the Nam Dinh provincial Party Committee Dang Khanh Toan, among others.
The bridge is a sub-project of the Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh - Thai Binh - Hai Phong expressway project. The sub-project has a total length of 2 kilometers. It runs through Khanh Cuong and Khanh Trung communes of Yen Khanh district (Ninh Binh province) and Nghia Chau, Nghia Trung and Nghia Thai communes of Nghia Hung district (Nam Dinh province).
It is designed to have four lanes with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
The sub-project was commenced in September 2023. After 15 months of construction, it has basically been completed.
A representative of Nam Dinh’s management board of construction and investment projects stressed the special significance of the project in enhancing regional links, easing traffic flows for current traffic systems, shortening time and distance for vehicles and creating momentum for socio-economic development.
At the ceremony, Huan and Toan presented flowers to congratulate the investor and contractors, and expressed their hope that these units to soon complete remaining items and works in order to put the whole project into use in early 2025.
