The seal opening ceremony was held on the night of March, 2nd - the 14th day of the first lunar month at the Tran Temple-Pho Minh pagoda special national relic in Nam Dinh ward.

The seal-opening ceremony is an age-old tradition with the purpose of praying for national peace and prosperity for the new year.
On the seal-opening night, thousands of local residents and visitors flocked to the temple in the hope of receiving printed seals, which would be distributed in the early morning the following day.

The seals have been distributed to the public from 5am on the 15th day till the 20th day of the first lunar month. The seals are believed to bring about good luck and happiness.
A wide range of rituals have been held at the festival, such as a palanquin procession, a water procession, and an exhibition of ornamental plants.
The festival is not only a tradition spiritual ceremony but also help local people, visitors leard more about the Tran Dynasty, one of the most glorious periods in Vietnamese history, as well as promote the cultural traditions of Ninh Binh Province.
