The Trang An Festival 2023 was kicked off at Trang An Landscape Complex in the northern province of Ninh Binh on May 7 (the 18th day of the third lunar month), attracting thousands of delegates and visitors.

Attending the event were Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the PCC's Organisation Commission; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the PCC, Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Doan Minh Huan, member of the PCC, Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee; Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat; Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, among others.
The annual festival is held to commemorate Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong, a general under the reign of the 18th Hung King - one of Vietnam's legendary founders, as well as Tran Kings for their significant roles in establishing and protecting the nation.
Water and dragon boat processions took place all the way through cross-water caves to Suoi Tien Temple to offer incense to Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong.
The event also featured various cultural and musical activities to promote the distinctive traditions of Vietnamese from different areas in the country.
