Third Ninh Binh Festival promises unique and impressive activities

This is a significant cultural and tourism event that contributes to inspiring patriotism and national prid  of rich history and heritage treasure of Hoa Lu ancient capital.

Currently, Ninh Binh is hastening preparations for the special festival.

The highlight of the festival will be the opening ceremony themed “The flow of Heritage”. It is slated to taken place at 20:00 on November 24, 2024 at Dinh Tien Hoang De Square in Ninh Binh city.

General Director Le Hai Yen, who is also the script writer, said the theme “The Flow of Heritage” was inspired from the glorious historical milestone of establishing Hoa Lu ancient capital; relocating the capital from Hoa Lu to Dai La (Ha Noi today) and the heritage connecting journey with three UNESCO-recognised sites of Hoa Lu citadel, Thang Long citadel and Hue citadel.

The art programme “The Flow of Heritage” will be performed in a cinematographic manner in combination with music, play, and 3D mapping screenplay.

Another highlight is an outdoor poetry recitation at Thuy Son mountain in Ninh Binh city.

Participants would have a chance to experience a poetic atmosphere and enjoy poetry recitation and folk music as well.

Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of the Department of Culture and Sport, said the festival is a significant cultural and tourism event that contributes to building and affirming the brand of Ninh Binh’s millennium heritage city.

It also aims to promote the image, culture, and people of Ninh Binh and various regions across the country to both domestic and international visitors, he said.

The event is expected to inspire the love for the homeland and pride of rich history and heritage treasures of the Hoa Lu ancient capital, Cuong added.

Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tong Quang Thin, who is also head of the festival organizing committee, said the event will be held under the spirit of thrift and effectiveness, and promoting the sense of responsibility and creativeness of related units and agencies.

These units and agencies need to pay special attention to ensuring good reception of delegates and ensuring safety for the stage and grandstands, as well as fire and explosion prevention and control, and hygiene conditions before, during and after the festival, Thin added./.
