Ninh Binh holds ceremony to mark 80th traditional day of Vietnam People’s Public Security Force

The event saw the attendance of Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Le Quoc Chinh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Pham Quang Ngoc, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and Mai Van Tuat, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Quang Ngoc said that following the success of the August Revolution in 1945, the Ninh Binh provincial Public Security Force was also established.

During the resistant war against the French colonialists, public security officers and soldiers in Ninh Binh stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces to uncover, suppress, and dismantle numerous plots and activities of the enermy; protect liberated areas and resistance bases, combat spies, and defeat hostile elements, thus helping to liberate the homeland.

During the resistance war against the US imperialists to save the country, the provincial public security force, together with the army and people, fought to suppress counter-revolutionaries and criminals, and protected the safety of local political, economic, cultural, and defence targets.

After peace was restored, officers and soldiers of the provincial public security force continued to promote tradition, excellently completing the task of ensuring political security and social order and safety.

The provincial public security force have synchronously deployed solutions to prevent, combat, and control crimes; created positive changes in social order; ensured traffic safety and public order; proactively defeated the plots and activities of hostile and reactionary forces.

After 20 years of implementation, the "All-People Security Safeguard Festival" in Ninh Binh has come to life, strongly focused on the grassroots, creating a spreading effect, attracting a large number of people to participate. Up to now, the whole province has 174 effective operation models, typically: "Safe residential groups, villages, hamlets in terms of security and order", "Peaceful parish - Progressive pagoda in terms of security and order", "School safety", "Hospital safety" ... Many collectives and individuals have been commended by the Party, the State and the province.

Faced with new requirements and tasks with many complicated factors of the world, regional and domestic situation, Ngoc requested the provincial public security force to continue to strictly implement the principle of absolute and direct leadership of the Party in all aspects of work.

The force should focus on building clean and strong grassroots Party organisations in the People's Public Security Force; strengthen political and ideological education; tighten discipline; maintain solidarity and unity; promote the responsibility of setting an example for the leader, he said.

Ngoc asked for greater efforts to continue to build the Ninh Binh public security force to be increasingly disciplined, elite and modern. Each officer and soldier must truly train themselves in political qualities, moral qualities, lifestyle, working style and manners; and well implement the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security Force.

At the ceremony, authorized by the State President, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Truong Quoc Huy awarded a First-Class Military Exploit Order to Major General Nguyen Huu Manh, Director of the provincial Department of Public Security; and a Third-Class Military Exploit Order to the Investigation Security Division of the Department of Public Security.

Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the special emulation movement to celebrate the 80th traditional day of the People's Public Security Force and the 20th anniversary of the “All-People Security Safeguard Festival” also commended by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Public Security and the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.
