Secretary of provincial Party Committee Dang Xuan Phong congratulates medical workers on Vietnamese Doctors’ Day

Visiting the Department of Health, Phong lauded the achievements recorded by the provincial healthcare sector over the past year and urged the sector to comprehensively innovate their mindset and action amid the new context by putting patients and people at the centre of its long-term investment so as to improve the living quality, the health of local people and living conditions of the medical sector's officials and employees.

Besides, the sector needs to pay attention to innovating, applying science and technology, continuing to rearrange and streamline the organisational apparatus towards building the models of “park-hospitals” and “hotel-hospitals”, he said.

Later, Phong visited and extended greetings to officials and employees of the Ninh Binh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

While lauding the hospital’s achievements over the past year, he underscored that it needs to make greater efforts and pioneer in building itself into an autonomous medical unit in terms of mechanism, workforce and equipment, as well as the State’s support policy.

The hospital needs to take lead in applying technology and digital transformation to improve the quality of medical examinations and treatment for people, and pay due heed to improving the living standards and working conditions for officials, doctors and nurses.

Phong extended his best wishes to all officials and employees of the hospital and expected that they would successfully fulfill their assigned tasks./.
