Speaking at the event, Phong, who is also head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, highlighted outstanding achievements recorded by cadres, party members and local people of Tan An residential area over the past time.

He asked that the local party organisation, administration, Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organisations to continue upholding the tradition of solidarity and recorded outcomes and focus on encouraging local people to observe the Party’s policies and the State’s laws; arouse the spirit of self-reliance, foster patriotism, strengthen social consensus, create overall strength to successfully implement development goals; fully and promptly implement social security policies, give priority to people with meritorious services and disadvantaged groups; replicate the models of "helping each other to do business" and "helping each other to get rich legitimately".

Phong also emphasised the need to innovate and improve the quality of social supervision and social feedback.

Cadres and party members must be truly exemplary, modest, close to the people, respect the people, serve the people, listen to what the people say, and promptly resolve the people's legitimate suggestions, he said.

It is necessary to maintain security, order and safety in residential areas; and build a green - clean - beautiful - civilized living environment, Phong added.

On this occasion, Phong and leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province presented 20 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Tan An residential area./.
