President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai on April 27 led a delegation to visit and offer gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, armed forces heroes, policy beneficiary families, poor households and disadvantaged workers in Ninh Binh, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 2026) and International Labour Day (May 1).

A series of socio-economic targets for 2026 has been approved by the National Assembly, including GDP growth of at least 10%; GDP per capita of 5,400 5,500 USD, consumer price index hike of around 4.5%, and labour productivity gains of about 8.5%.

The conference provided an opportunity for both sides to review the outcomes of their 2024 2025 cooperation and share insights on new development issues, particularly digital transformation.

Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Van Hoi on January 8 stated that at the beginning of this year, the ministry issued a directive requesting reports on the distribution of rice and proposals for rice aid during the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tet) and the lean season as an effort to ensure social welfare during the Tet festival, and ensure no one is left behind. Presenting Tet gifts to disadvantaged workers in Ninh Binh.
