Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Inspection Tran Sy Thanh on August 27 presented 80-year Party membership badges to veteran Party members in Ninh Binh province on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Nam Dinh Ward Party Committee. This time, 20 Party members in the Ninh Binh provincial Party Organisation were honoured with 80-year Party membership badges.
On behalf of Party and State leaders, Thanh presented and pinned the 80-year badges on eight veteran Party members.

The remaining 12, who are advanced in age or face health and travel difficulties, will receive the badges at home, presented by representatives of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, before September 1.
Speaking at the ceremony, Thanh said the presentation of Party membership badges on the occasion of the August Revolution anniversary and National Day reflects the Party and State leaders’ profound respect and gratitude for veteran Party members who have devoted their lives and remained steadfastly loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people.
He wished the veteran Party members good health and longevity, and expressed his hope that they would continue to serve as shining examples of revolutionary qualities and steadfastness, as well as a source of spiritual support for Party committees, authorities and people in Ninh Binh.
Thanh also asked Party committees and organisations at all levels in Ninh Binh to continue paying greater attention to and caring for veteran Party members, regularly visiting them, listening to and valuing their views and drawing on their valuable experience. He also called for greater efforts to educate younger generations about the country’s revolutionary traditions.

At the ceremony, Tran Thi Huong, representing Party members in Nam Dinh ward receiving the 80-year membership badges, expressed her emotion and pride, affirming that she would continue upholding the qualities of a communist, setting an example and actively participating in local activities to help build a strong and pure Party organisation.
She urged young cadres and Party members to maintain their political steadfastness, cultivate their ethics, pursue continuous learning and improve their professional qualifications, while having the courage to think, act and take responsibility, and dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to serving the people./.
