Ninh Binh Women’s Union presents gifts to relatives of ten Lam Ha militiawomen

At visiting sites, Hoa extended her greetings to these families and wished them good health while expressing her deeply gratitude to the contributions and sacrifice of ten Lam Ha militiawomen during the cause of national liberation and homeland protection.

She underlined that caring for those who rendered meritorious service to the national revolution is not only a political responsibility but also a sacred duty and a noble moral tradition of Viet Nam while maintaing the national tradition of “when drinking water, remember its source”.

During the war against the US imperialists, militia in Lam Ha commune in Phu Ly city, former Ha Nam province, actively fought alongside regular and local forces and took part in combat and support operations on various battlefields.

As part of efforts to thwart and repel the US air war against northern Vietnam, numerous anti-aircraft artillery positions were established around Phu Ly township at the time.

Ten Lam Ha militiawomen remain immortal heroes and martyrs, their sacrifice standing as a lasting symbol of the spirit of “determination to sacrifice oneself for the survival of the Fatherland.”
