According to organisers, this year’s event will serve not only as an annual tourism promotion campaign but also as an opportunity to honor the historical and cultural values of the ancient capital Hoa Lu. The programme will also showcase Ninh Binh’s signature tourism products in line with the province’s strategy for green, sustainable, and digitally driven tourism development.
The highlight of the event will be the opening ceremony on the evening of May 23 at Dinh Tien Hoang Square in Hoa Lu ward. The artistic performance, titled “Brushstrokes of a Thousand Years,” will feature nearly 200 performers and artists, recreating Ninh Binh’s cultural and historical journey while celebrating the unique beauty of the heritage region across different eras.
In addition to the opening ceremony, a wide range of cultural and tourism activities will take place throughout the week, including the Tam Coc Golden Season Festival at the Tam Coc Bich Dong tourist area, the Trang An creative music festival (Forestival), a Yosakoi dance festival, the 2026 Ninh Binh Coastal Tourism Festival, and the “Golden Season in Tam Coc” photography tour.
Visitors will also have the chance to experience traditional Vietnamese culture through performances of water puppetry, cheo folk opera, xam singing, and regional folk music from across the country. Traditional craft villages, walking streets, rural food markets, and folk games will further enrich the visitor experience, highlighting the distinct cultural identity of the former imperial capital.
The province will also organise tourism product introduction programmes, destination surveys, and the “Beautiful Photos of Ninh Binh Tourism” art exhibition.
Bui Van Manh, Director of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism and Head of the Organising Committee for the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026, said preparations for the event are progressing on schedule. Guest reception, security, traffic management, fire prevention, and environmental sanitation plans have all been implemented in a coordinated manner.
The event is expected to stimulate tourism demand while further promoting the image of Ninh Binh and its people to both domestic and international audiences, he said.
“We aim to welcome around 600,000 domestic and international visitors to Ninh Binh during this year’s tourism week,” Manh stressed./.
