The announcement ceremony will take place at the Giao Ninh tourist area centre in Giao Ninh commune and is organised by the provincial Department of Tourism.
The event will introduce the new brand identity for the Giao Ninh tourist area, along with a portfolio of community-based tourism products developed by the province's coastal communes.
According to the provincial People's Committee, the event is expected to attract around 400 participants, including representatives of ministries, agencies, leaders of Ninh Binh, provincial departments, tourism businesses, industry associations, media organisations, local residents and visitors.
The programme will feature the announcement of the Provincial People’s Committee’s decision to rename Quat Lam tourist area as Giao Ninh tourist area, followed by the launch of the destination's new brand identity and the community-based tourism products.
A cultural performance and a fireworks display will conclude the evening's celebrations.
As part of the event, a series of cultural and tourism activities will be held from July 10 - 13, including traditional performances such as stilt walking, brass band shows and kite racing.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore exhibitions showcasing tourism products, OCOP-certified products, local handicrafts, regional specialties and signature seafood cuisine from the province's coastal communities.
Provincial authorities said the introduction of a unified brand identity for Giao Ninh and its coastal community tourism products is expected to strengthen destination marketing and enhance the visibility of Ninh Binh's tourism offerings among domestic and international visitors.
The initiative is also intended to foster closer collaboration between local authorities, businesses and communities in promoting green tourism, preserving indigenous cultural heritage, protecting marine resources and the coastal environment, and supporting the province's long-term sustainable tourism development./.
