In her welcome speech, Vice Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province Vuong Thi Hai Yen said sustainable and green tourism has been becoming an evitable trend in the global as it not only help protect the environment but also brings about socio-economic values in the long term.
Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces have been exploiting their tourism potential to build diverse tourism products, including green ones.
To date, Ninh Binh has developed its tourism in the direction “Ninh Binh tourism – Marvelous beauty of ancient capital”; Thanh Hoa’s tourism has been developed with the massage “Thanh Hoa tourism – Perfume and colours of four seasons” and Nghe An’s tourism sector has developed with the massage “Nghe An tourism – Green journey”.
These are important foundations for three localities to enhance regional connection in a bid to build attractive green tourism journeys, thus attracting domestic and international visitors.
At the conference, participants discussed a number of issues related to inter-regional links, build and develop green destinations, green tourism products and green tourism journeys. They also exchanged views on activities to connect the provinces.
Ninh Binh, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces also introduced their new tourism products, outstanding events and tourism activities in 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Ha Van Sieu affirmed that Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces are seen as bridges to connect tourism areas in the whole country and have played an important role in promoting the smokeless industry in a green and sustainable manner.
While underscoring the role of connection in creating new momentum for the tourism sector, Sieu urged these provinces to continue cooperating together and developing tourism in a professional manner and fully exploit available potential to turn Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces into famous destinations in the green tourism journey nationwide./.
