The journey of building new-style rural areas in Ninh Binh province over the past time has achieved many comprehensive results, creating a strong transformation in the face of rural areas and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
Ninh Binh is now one of the localities that has completed the task of building new-style rural areas, with 97 out of 97 communes meeting the standards, including 65 communes meeting advanced new rural area standards and 4 communes meeting model new-style rural area standards. One of Ninh Binh's special hallmarks in building new-style rural areas is its ability to mobilise the combined strength of the entire political system and the community. The criterion of "people's satisfaction in the process of building new-styke rural areas" consistently achieves a high rate, ensuring the sustainability and substance of the programme.
The province is continuing to focus on researching and proposing additions and adjustments to issues related to the National Target Programme for building new-style rural areas, focusing on several major directions such as: harmonious and equitable development between urban and rural areas, continuing to comprehensively improve the modern production infrastructure system, and developing rural economy and green agriculture in a circular direction.
Rural modernisation is linked to preserving identity, landscape values, and traditional culture to create unique rural living spaces. Digital transformation and the application of science and technology, especially in agricultural production, are being promoted.
Alongside this, economic development goes hand in hand with cultural preservation. Local cultural values are being promoted to effectively serve tourism development.
Investment in synchronised infrastructure, including transport, telecommunications, and e-commerce, is being prioritised, while simultaneously promoting environmental protection, maintaining security and social order. The goal is to create a harmonious rural space, transforming the countryside into a desirable place to live.
Tran Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, stated that Ninh Binh's journey of building new-style rural areas continues with many new goals, and the province remains consistent in its view that "building new-style rural areas has only a starting point, not an end point."
He hopes that the programme will continue to spread widely and become a sustainable driving force for rural development.
Dung requested departments and agencies closely coordinate with the New-Style Rural Development Coordination Office in the implementation of tasks; and at the same time, advise the province on developing policies for the 2026-2030 period that are practical, effective, and create high consensus among the people./.
