Ninh Binh starts work on Trung Thanh industrial zone project

The project is invested by Capelle Real Estate JSC and Nam Dinh InfrastructureInvestment and Development JSC.

The event marks a new milestone in the cause of industrialisation and modernisation cause and investment attraction of the province.

Attending the ceremony were Le Quoc Chinh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Tran Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and Nguyen Cao Son, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, among others.

The Trung Thanh Industrial Zone (IZ) covers an area of 200 hectares with an investment capital of over 1.65 trillion VND. It is oriented to develop into a modern, green and sustainable IZ.

It will focus on industries using high-tech, environmentally friendly technologies and high added value.

Thanks for its convenient location that links directly to National Highway 1A, the North-South expressway and other arterial roads, the Thanh Trung IZ is expected to become an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign investors.

In his remarks, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Cao Son spoke highly the efforts of the investors, the management board for economic zones and industrial zones, and the People’s Committee of Tan Minh commune in clearing the site so as to create favourable conditions for starting the project as scheduled.

To ensure the progress and effectiveness of the project, Son urged the investors to focus resources, mobilise prestigious partners, speed up progress of construction and guarantee the quality, technical and aesthetic requirements and synschronic infrastructure in line withthe approved plan and design.

The management board for economic zones and industrial parks must work closely with the investors to build a programme on investment attraction, prioritising big domestic and foreign investors who have modern, environmentally friendly technologies, he said.

During the construction process and operation in the next period, the investors and related agencies need to strictly obligate legal regulations and standards, especially those regarding environmental protection, construction, working safety and fire prevention and control, Son said.

He also asked the local administration continue to cooperate with departments, sectors, and the management board to complete site clearance and soon hand over the remaining reclaimed land to the investors as scheduled.

The Vice Chairman also affirmed thatthe provincial People’s Committee would accompany, support investors and firms, create a clear, transparent and safe investment climate.

The province will also fully and promptly implement preferential mechanisms and policies in line with regulations or other special support policies, he stressed.

At the ceremony, delegates pressed the buttons to start construction of the project, thus marking an important event that opens up a new prospect for theTrung Thanh IZ and contributes to the general goal of developing Ninh Binh into a province of modern industry, hi-quality services, tourism, green urban in associated with heritage and a key hi-tech industrial hub in the country by 2030.
