The provincial statistics Office has just released a report on socio-economic performance in 2025 on January 5.
At the press release.
Accordingly, in 2025, the province’s economy recovered strongly and maintained high growth.
The gross regional domestic production (GRDP) estimated to reach 187,7 trillion VND (8,23 billion USD), representing a year-on-year rise of 10.65%; ranking third in 34 provinces, cities nationwide.
In which, agro-forestry-fishery expands 3.53%; industry construction holds the role as driving forces and increases by 13.7% while service sector enjoys growth of 9.62%.
The industry sector continues to affirms its role as an economic locomotive in the province’s economy.
Commercial activities, transportation, travel witness high growth, thus meeting the consumption demand.
The economy scale estimated at 342,8 trillion VND; the average GRPD per capita at 89.2 million VND, up 13%.
Ninh Binh's economic structure has shifted to reducing the ratio of agro-forestry-fishery (11.04%) while increasing the ratio of service (34.39%) and industry, construction and services (47.05%).
By the end of December, the total budget collection was 167.5 trillion VND (7,3 billion USD), representing a year-on-year increase of 26.2%.
Total investment development capital reached 178,8 trillion VND (7,84 billion USD), up 26% compared to same period last year.
In 2025, the province attracted 328 new projects, including 244 domestic projects and 84 FDI projects.
8,723 new firms have been established in 2025 while 3,062 firms discontinued operation.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue were estimated at 273,3 trillion VND (11,9 billion USD), up 18.9%.
The export-import turnover reached 51,36 billion USD, posting a year-on-year rise of 78.2%. The consumer price index has been rose to 3.42%.
Tourism activity has seen strong growth and created robust momentum for economic growth. In the year, the province has welcomed over 19.4 million tourist arrivals, a year-on-year rise of 26.6%.
The living standard has been improved. Social welfare has been ensured while the poverty reduction has been carried out effectively.
The programme of eradicating makeshift, dilapidated houses have helped improve the living standards for local people and reduce poverty sustainably.
In 2025, Ninh Binh hosted numerous political, cultural and tourism events at the provincial and national scales.
