As part of the Ninh Binh Festival 2024, a street festival was held at Tam Quan gate (Ninh Binh city) in the evening of November 29 with diverse cultural activities.A dance reenacting Dinh Bo Linh’s mock war games in his childhood.

There was a wide range of art performances of local people such as a dance reenacting Dinh Bo Linh’s mock war games in his childhood, lion dances, dragon dances, drum dances, and stilt walking.

The finale of the cosplay contest, where participants embodied historical figures was held within the framework of the festival.
The contest not only offered a playground for those who love cosplaying but it also served as a bridge connecting the past and the present, and show the special traditional costumes of Vietnam.
In addition, ethnic minority people and artisans from other cities and provinces nationwide also performed folk songs and dances at the street festival.
Moreover, the public also enjoyed a colourful cultural space with numerous art works inspired by the architecture of Hoa Lu, Thang Long and Hue royal citadels.
Local people and tourists also had a chance to discover a traditional market showcasing local handicrafts and specialties, wear old costumes and took part in folk games.
Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of Department of Culture and Sports, stressed that the street festival 2024 provides a hyperspace that connects the past and present, honours traditional culture heritage and contemporary art. Thereby contributing to preserve and promote culture heritage and enrich the national culture treasure and to implement the goals of building culture industry, heritage economy as well as to build a creative city of Ninh Binh.
