Ninh Binh’s leaders meet with delegation of Travel Agents Federation of India

The Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee on January 17 held a meeting with a Famtrip delegation from tourism companies and the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) and domestic travel firms to survey tourism potential and connect tourism products and services of the province.At the event.

Attending the event were member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan; Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat; Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, among others.
Speaking at the meeting, Ngoc said that 2024 marked a successful year of the province’s tourism sector as it served around 8.7 million tourists, including 1.5 million international visitors. Ninh Binh’s destinations were highly recommended or honoured with numerous awards by foreign organisations and tourism magazines.

In 2024, Ninh Binh welcomed an impressive number of Indian travellers with a rise of 12% as compared to the previous year. Some travel firms of India and Vietnam worked together to organise trips to Ninh Binh and India. Notably, around 4,500 employees of famous Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Limited visited Ninh Binh in August 2024, affirming Ninh Binh as an attractive destination for Indian visitors.
Stressing that the annual meeting of TAFI this time will provide a chance for both sides to seek cooperative opportunities, Ngoc said Ninh Binh expects to further step up tourism promotion, connection and cooperation, thus contributing to the enhancement of cultural exchanges and boosting socio-economic development of both two countries.
For his part, TAFI President Ajay Prakash thanked the host leaders for warm welcome and underscored the friendship and longlasting relationship between the two countries. Especially, economic ties between the two sides have been developing fruitfully over the past time.

While expressing his admiration for Ninh Binh's viewpoint on developing sustainable tourism and creating value for the local community, Ajay informed that the theme of the TAFI's annual meeting is "Tourism for future and protecting the earth”.
On this occasion, TAFI also honoured individuals who have made great contributions to tourism development, including Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Song Tung and leaders of the provincial Department of Tourism and some local travel companies./.
