Ninh Binh province steps up investment promotion in Barcelona (Spain)

A delegation of Ninh Binh province led by Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Lua on October 21 arrived in Barcelona, Spain, beginning a working visit to a number of countries in the European Union (EU).

On October 21, Lua and the delegation had a working session with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, where she gave an overview of the history, geographical location, socio-economic development, potential, and strengths, especially tourism and industry of Ninh Binh province.
Ninh Binh province has planned areas to develop tourism and high-quality services in health, education and vocational training to attract domestic and foreign investors. Ninh Binh has a very abundant local labour force with highly skilled workers.

With a favourable investment environment, Ninh Binh province is becoming a destination for many domestic and foreign investors. Up to now, the province has had 725 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 14.4 billion USD. FDI investment projects are operating stably, creating jobs for workers as well as making positive contributions to the provincial budget, she said.
Ninh Binh is always ready to welcome Barcelona investors to study investment cooperation, ensuring a stable, safe and transparent investment and business environment, thereby creating a solid foundation for Barcelona investors to do long-term business in the province, Lua affirmed.
President of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce Josep Santacreu Bonjoch spoke highly of the socio-economic development achievements, potential and strengths of Ninh Binh province.
He held that Ninh Binh has many opportunities to cooperate with the tourism business community of Barcelona. Barcelona businesses have long been targeting the Korean and Japanese markets and are now increasingly seeking opportunities in China and Vietnam. This is an opportunity for Ninh Binh to attract investment from Barcelona businesses, especially in the tourism sector.
Santacreu Bonjoch also said the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce is planning to visit Vietnam in 2026 for an in-depth survey and will arrange to visit Ninh Binh to seek opportunities for the business community of Barcelona in particular and Spain in general.
At the meeting, delegates exchanged and discussed the areas that Ninh Binh and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce are interested in such as education, culture, sports and tourism, urban areas; high-tech agricultural production and processing; healthcare, human resource training, preferential policies and investment procedures in Ninh Binh.
On the same day, the delegation went to survey the market and conduct a field survey at the Barcelona Club Museum.
