Ninh Binh province completes tasks of building new-style rural areas

Accordingly, Ha assigned the Ninh Binh provincial People’s Committee to declare the decision and continue to maintain and increase the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environment criteria in a bid to ensure sustainability in building new-style rural areas.

The programme of building new-style rural areas in the province has been carried out since 2011.

By the end of 2024, the province accomplished all eight criteria, completing the tasks of building new- style rural areas.

Six districts have achieved the criteria of new-style rural areas and two cities have completed tasks of building new- style countryside. Of them, two districts have met criteria of advanced new-style rural areas while 76 out of 119 communes have met the standards set for advanced new-style rural areas.

The national target programme on building new-style rural areas has changed dramatically the rural areas’ appearance in Ninh Binh. Social-economic infrastructure has been invested synchronically while environment protection in rural areas has seen much progress, thus creating green, clean and beautiful rural landscape. The living standards of local people has been raised. The average value of cultivation reaches 160 million VND per hectare a year, higher than the average figure of the whole country.

The per capita GRDP reaches 73.21 million VND in 2024 and over 70 million VND in rural areas.

The poverty rate fell to 1.03%. According to a survey, 99.43% of households satisfy with the achievements of the programme.
