In the 2010- 2021 period, Ninh Binh has built and expanded 17 industrial clusters, covering a total area of 616 hectares.

In 2022, revenues of firms in industrial parks hit 73.26 trillion VND (3.1 billion USD), a year-on-year increase of 7.5%, and equivalent to 106.2% of the yearly plan.

Their export value was estimated to reach 1.7 billion USD, up 11.7% and reaching 100% of the yearly plan.

These enterprises also contributed 14 trillion VND (597 million USD) to the budget, exceeding the yearly plan by 40%.

The industrial parks have provided jobs for nearly 40,000 workers with an average monthly income of 6 million VNA per capita.

Vu Van Hung, Director of the Centre for Industrial Expansion, Trade Promotion and Industrial Cluster Development, said the centre has actively carried out numerous activities to encourage industrial expansion, trade promotion and supporting industry in an attempt to support local firms to increase their production and business capacity, seek and expand markets and promote goods consumption.

The development of industrial zones has helped attracted businesses, especially FDI enterprises that manufacture spare parts for car making and, electronic components.

At the same time, the province also moved traditional handicraft villages to industrial clusters in a bid to increase income for local labourers and reduce environmental pollution in local resident areas.

In 2023, Ninh Binh will continue to attract investment into industrial clusters and finalise procedures to establish new industrial parks such as Phu Long, Tam Diep II, and expanded Gian Khau.

With the goal of developing the industry sector in the way of increasing effectiveness, offering more jobs for  rural labourers, shifting economic sectors, ensuring sustainable development in a green, safe and modern industry, Ninh Binh has focused on attracting hi-tech, clean and friendly-environment projects that increase more value for products and make great contributions to the state budget.

The province gives priority to developing automobile manufacturing and assembly, supporting industry, electronics, mechanics, and processing industry to serve agricultural production.
