The Departments of Tourism of Ninh Binh, Hanoi and Gia Lai co-organised a conference on tourism promotion themed "Linkage - cooperation and mutual development" in Gia Lai province on November 10.
The conference saw the attendance of provincial leaders and representatives from the Departments of Tourism, the Associations of Tourism and over 120 travel firms of Hanoi and Ninh Binh, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung expressed his hope that the conference would offer a chance for Ninh Binh and Hanoi to exchange experience in managing and promoting tourism, and preserving and upholding the value of heritages with the central and Central Highlands provinces.
The conference also enabled Ninh Binh and Hanoi to introduce their tourism potential, strengths and unique tourism products to tourists and travel companies in the central and Central Highlands provinces.
Tung hoped that Ninh Binh, Hanoi and Gia Lai will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing tourism cooperation between the provinces and cities in the Red River Delta and their peers in the south central coastal and Central Highlands regions.
At the conference, participants introduced tourism potential, strengths and special products of the localities.
They also discussed and cleared up ideas and petitions suggested by travel companies and state management agencies, thus building cooperative relations for the target of green and sustainable development.
Within the framework of the conference, delegates studied local OCOP products and specialties used as gifts for tourists.
