Ninh Binh drops ten positions in PCI ranking

PCT chart.

According to the PCI Report 2018 by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Vietnam, the province scored 5.81 points in informal charges; 5.63 points in business support services; 6.11 points in proactive leadership.

The province ranks highly in the two sudindices of time cost and land access and tenure with 7.04 points and 6.98 points, respectively.

The drop showed that the province's performance in economic management, business environment and efforts in administrative reform have yet to meet the expectation of the business community.

Despite of low ranking, the province showed remarkable improvements over the years. The total core of Ninh Binh rose by over 1 point from 2018. Under the PCI Report 2019 the northern province of Quang Ninh continues to be the leading locality in the field with 73.40 points, followed by the Mekong Delta provinces of Dong Thap and Vinh Long with 72.10 points and 71.30 points, respectively.
