National Youth Boxing Championship 2026 officially kicks off in Ninh Binh

The tournament is jointly organised by the Sports Authority of Vietnam, the Vietnam Boxing Federation and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh.

In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasised that the championshipis held annually and holds important significance in the high-performance sport system. It offers a chance for evaluating the quality of athlete training as well as discoveringand selecting young talents for national teams who will compete at regional and international sport arenas.

The championship is held to welcome the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 2026) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2026).

It takes place from July 2 to 12, drawing the participation of 28 teams with 500 young boxers from cities, provinces and sectors nationwide.

The athletes are competing in various categories of different ages for both men and women.

The National Youth Boxing Championship 2026 offers a chance for young athletes to compete, gain experiences and improve their skills.

The hosting of the tournament is expected to popularise the image of Ninh Binh as a dynamic, friendly and hospital destination with rich cultural identity to sport lovers across the country./.
