National Fund for Vietnamese Children presents gifts and scholarships to disadvantaged children in Binh An commune

Prominent delegates attending the event included Tran Thanh Lam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity, and Deputy Minister of Education and Training Doan Trung Kien.

The event also saw the presence of Members of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Duc Toan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Board for Publicity; Tran Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Dang Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Pham Thi Thu Hang, Director of Ninh Binh Newspaper, Radio and Television, among others.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Anh Dung said the province has consistently attached importance to child protection and care. In recent years, Ninh Binh has proactively implemented a range of comprehensive and practical programmes and policies aimed at ensuring children’s rights to the fullest extent possible.

Dung called on Party committees, authorities, agencies, mass organisations and residents across the province, particularly in Binh An commune, to continue implementing the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on children’s rights.

He also urged local authorities to prioritise budget resources and promote social mobilisation for programmes supporting children in particularly difficult circumstances, while improving the effectiveness of child protection and care efforts.

At the event, the Vietnam Children’s Fund provided total support worth 850.5 million VND, including scholarships, essential items and gifts for disadvantaged students in Binh An commune who have made efforts to excel in their studies.

Of the beneficiaries, 100 students received scholarships, while 50 students were presented with bicycles directly at the event./.
