Minister of Education and Training attends inauguration ceremony of Hoa Lu University

The event also saw the attendance of Tran Huy Tuan, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, among others.

The Hoa Lu University Construction Project was approved by the provincial People's Committee for adjustment and supplementation in Decision No. 569/QD-UBND dated July 19, 2023, with a total adjusted investment of 770 billion VND. The project's funding comes from the government’s budget, national target programmes, and the provincial budget, with implementation scheduled until the end of 2025.

The investment objective of the project is to ensure that the physical infrastructure meets national standards for higher education institutions while also fulfilling the objectives of the Hoa Lu University Development Planning Scheme for the 2021-2025 period and the orientation to 2030.

The project's investment scale includes the following main items: Administration building (9 floors); Lecture halls A and B (4 floors); Library - Medical - Canteen (2 floors); Auditorium (3 floors); Gymnasium; Practical workshops; Wastewater treatment plant; Technical infrastructure and other supporting facilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee Ha Lan Anh emphasised the inauguration of Hoa Lu University not only contributes to completing the province's network of higher education institutions, but also has great significance in training high-quality human resources to serve socio-economic development, building Ninh Binh into a green, sustainable, and culturally rich province, and becoming a centrally-governed city by 2030.

To ensure the project is put into operation and maximises investment efficiency, the official requested the investor and contractor to promptly complete the remaining procedures to hand over the completed project to Hoa Lu University for operation.

Relevant departments, agencies, Hoa Lu University, and related units should proactively and closely coordinate with the investor to complete the remaining procedures and resolve related issues, she said.

Hoa Lu University is responsible for receiving, managing, and proactively developing plans and organising training activities to ensure the effective use and maximization of investment in the facility, effectively exploiting and improving the quality of training, and better serving the learning needs of the people.
