A ground-breaking ceremony was held by Xuan Thien Group on June 23 for Xuan Thien Nam Dinh Green Steel Complex in Nghia Hung district in the northern province of Nam Dinh.Delegates attend the ground breaking ceremony.

The project is one of the modern, environmentally-friendly ones with leading scale nationwide.
Attending the ceremony was Deputy Prime MinisterLe Thanh Long, Secretary of the Nam Dinh provincial Party Committee Dang Khanh Toan; Standing Vice Secretary of the Nam Dinh provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Nam Dinh provincial People’s Council Le Quoc Chinh; Vice Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Quang Ngoc; Vice Secretary of the Ha Nam provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Dinh Nghi, among others.
The project comprises Xuan Thien Nam Dinh green steel No 1 factory and Xuan ThienNghia Hung green steel plant.
It covers a total area of 425,73hectares with registered investment of 98 trillion VND (4.27 billion USD).
The project will use modern technologies under G7/EU standards that ensure the quality of emission, waste waterand environment.
It will manufacture high-quality steelthat haven’t been yet manufactured in Vietnam before, such as weather-proofsteel serving for shipbuilding, wind turbine poles; car body shell, and weapons.
It is scheduled to produce first product by June 2026 and the whole complex project will be completed by June 2030.
This is a key project with the largest-ever sum of investment in Nam Dinhand is expected to create huge momentum for the province’s socio-economic growth.
Once put into operation, the project will create jobs for about 16,000 direct workers and 2,000 manual labourers.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy PM Le Thanh Long expressed his hope that the project will make a great turning pointin the industrialization and modernization strategyof the southern part of the Red River Delta, especially after the mergence of Ha Nam, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces.
Long urged the investor to focus all resources to expedite work items synchronically and observe legal regulations in terms of land, investment, construction, environment and planning.
At the same time, the investor needs to pay heed to increasing the quality of the project, use and train local workforce, and build it into momentum of the Ninh Co economic area, thus contributing to socio-economic development of the locality and of the whole country.
Leaders of Nam Dinh province pledgedto support and accompany the investor to promptly ease difficulties and hindrances so as to ensure the project’s progress and ensure its quality.
