Ground-breaking ceremony for Hai Long Industrial Park (VSIP Nam Dinh) held

Attending the ceremony were Dang Xuan Phong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; and Rajpal Singh, Ambassador of Singapore to Vietnam,among others.

The Hai Long Industrial Park project, covering approximately 180 hectares with a total investment of over 2.2 trillion VND, is invested by the Vietnam - Singapore Urban and Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company. It is being developed in Giao Binh and Giao Hung communes of Ninh Binh province. To date, all necessary legal procedures have been completed, ensuring that construction can commence in accordance with the law. The entire infrastructure system is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2027.

The industrial park boasts a favourable location, situated at the intersection of new strategic infrastructure systems: the coastal road, the Nam Dinh - Lac Quan road, the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway, providing convenient access to the Lach Huyen port system, Cat Bi International Airport, and other amenities in the surrounding areas. Furthermore, the project benefits from connections with other industrial centers within and outside the province, optimizing the supply chain and increasing benefits for investors.

At the ground-breaking ceremony, Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Rajpal Singh emphasised the special significance of the Hai Long Industrial Park as a vivid symbol of the strong cooperative relationship between Singapore and Vietnam, and thanked Ninh Binh’s leaders for their active support in realising the project.

Over nearly three decades, industrial parks invested in by the Vietnam - Singapore Urban and Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company have become an important foundation for promoting bilateral economic cooperation, present in 15 provinces and cities across the country with 22 industrial parks, attracting over 24 billion USD in investment and creating jobs for nearly 340,000 workers.

The ground-breaking of Phase 1 of the Hai Long Industrial Park affirmed Ninh Binh's position and potential as an attractive destination for high-quality investment capital.

To ensure the Hai Long Industrial Park Project is implemented on schedule, with guaranteed quality, and achieves its intended benefits early, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son requested the investor to focus maximum resources and organise construction to ensure the progress, quality, technical standards, and aesthetics of the project; strictly comply with all legal regulations on investment, construction, land, environment, labour safety, and fire prevention and control; and strive to build the Hai Long Industrial Park into a model, modern, green, and sustainable industrial park.

The provincial departments, agencies, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Management Board, and local authorities should continue to cooperate, support, and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles arising during the project implementation process within their authority, creating the most favorable conditions for the project to be implemented smoothly and effectively, he said.

Son affirmed that Ninh Binh commits to continuing to significantly improve the investment and business environment and to promote administrative reform. “We will always accompany, support, and create the most favorable conditions for businesses to confidently invest, produce, and conduct stable, long-term, and effective business in the province,” he stressed.

At the ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Xuan Phong; andDeputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Comrade Le Quoc Chinh, along with other delegates, performed the ground-breaking ceremony for Phase 1 of the Hai Long Industrial Park./.
