A delegation from the Mozambique Liberation Front (FRELIMO), led by Ana Comoane, Politburo member and Head of the FRELIMO Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, paid a visit and held a working session with authorities of Ninh Binh province.

The delegation was received by Tran Dang Quynh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee; Vu Hong Hien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Headof the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Dang Thanh Son, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; among others.

At the working session, Quynh provided an overview of Ninh Binh following its recent administrative consolidation. He said the province is working toward becoming a centrally governed city before 2030, while pursuing green and sustainable development and identifying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as key drivers of growth.

In this process, the province places a strong emphasis on preserving and promoting the value of its heritage while linking economic development with improvements in people’s quality of life.
To achieve these objectives, the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee has identified the building of a strong and transparent Party and political system as a key priority. The visit provides a valuable opportunity for both sides to exchange experience in Party building, inspection and supervision, as well as the responsibilities of Party officials and members, he said.
The meeting also offered Ninh Binh an opportunity to explore potential areas for exchanges and cooperation that match the strengths and needs of both sides, Quynh added.

Speaking at the meeting, Ana Comoane expressed her admiration for Vietnam’s remarkable development achievements in general and those of Ninh Binh in particular. She spoke highly of the traditional friendship, solidarity and close cooperation between the two Parties and the two States.
She said a key purpose of the delegation’s visit was to learn from and exchange practical experience on the organisation and operations of inspection commissions at both central and local levels in Vietnam, with particular attention to the experience of Ninh Binh province.
On the occasion, Ana Comoaneextended an invitation to Ninh Binh’s leaders to visit Mozambique, particularly Manica province, with a view to further strengthening solidarity and expanding opportunities for cooperation between the two sides.
During the working session, FRELIMO delegates and Ninh Binh leaders and representatives of relevant departments and agencies exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest. These included the organisational structure and operations of theinspection commissions; opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in areas where they have strengths, including tourism development, heritage preservation and promotion, and mineral resources; as well as the application of information technology and digital transformation in inspection and supervision activities./.
