Ninh Binh’s export revenue up 23 percent in 2018

The application of various stimulus measures in developing enterprises' production and trade allowed the northern province of Ninh Binh’s export activity to enjoy robust growth with sharp rises in terms of turnover and market in 2018.

Accordingly, total export revenue hit 1.5 billion USD, posting a rise of 23 percent from 2017. Key products with export hikes included handicraft products, cement, clinker, camera and electronic components, alluminum, textile and garment, and footwear.

Many Ninh Binh businesses have won contracts to export footwear with large quantity to Asian countries, Belgium, Russia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The results were attributed to policies on investment attraction and developing enterprises like boosting administrative procedure reform and support mechanisms to ease difficulties faced by enterprises.

At the same time, Ninh Binh continued to instruct the development of the automobile manufacturing and assembly and electronic industries as key economic sectors under the spirit of Decision No 07/NQ-BCSD dated Ferbuary 13, 2017.

Besides, the Department of Trade and Industry has launched synchronous measures to improve the investment environment, remove difficulties, and increase competitiveness for enterprises and boost export activity growth.
