Ninh Binh province's industrial production continued to maintain its growth, with the index of industrial production (IPP) rising by 1.4% in the first eight months of 2023.
Garment and clothes see decline in August.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade's report, in the January-June period, the province's industrial production value reached nearly 65.1 trillion VND (2.7 million USD), a year-on-year minor increase of 1.4%.
The IIP growth in August increased by 7.8% month-on-month and decreased by 4.57% year- on - year.
Of which, the production value of mining up 8.7%; production and distribution of electricity up 1.54%; water supply, management and treatment of waste and wastewater up 10.4%.
Some industrial products saw increases such as camera lens (up 29.5%), poultry food (up 36%); electricity production (up 7.4%).
Meanwhile some key industrial products saw decline such as garment and clothes (down 38.8%); footwear (down 18.2%); clinker and cement (down 25.5%), modul camera (down 32.2%), windshield wiper (down 51.1%).....
