In the period of 2020-2023, Ninh Binh's agriculture sector has taken orientations and solutions to develop effectively and renovated itself comprehensively, focusing on quality-oriented production, standard process and applying hi-tech in farming.
Local farmers have applied hi-tech in farming.
The province has issued numerous policies assisting local farmers to access hi-tech and apply advanced technologies and bio-technology in production.
Most recently, the provincial People's Council promulgated Resolution 32/2022/NQ-HDND on support policies for the development of agriculture and rural areas in the period of 2022-2025 to help local farmers build models of hi-tech agriculture with 1.5-2-fold increase in profits.
The province has to date built more than 400 high-tech agriculture models for crop cultivation, livestock and aquaculture.
Notably, Ninh Binh has built geographical indications and brand names for a number of specialities and established safe fruit and vegetable cultivation areas such as Yen Khanh safe vegetable farming area, Dong Giao pineapple, Ninh Binh goat meat, Gia Vien shrimp sauce, Kim Son oyster, Tam Diep peach flower, Cuc Phuong camellia tea, and Nho Quan custard apple, thus increasing local products' values and helping localities successfully fulfill their OCOP programmes.
