The provincial Department of Tourism said that in the recent years, Ninh Binh has focused on building and upgrading infrastructure and technical infrastructure serving  tourism activities.

It has built a modern and synchronic transport system that connects destinations in the province and those of Ninh Binh with other tourism hubs in the country.

Many big transport projects have been carried out, creating breakthroughs for the province's development, including a project on building infrastructure of Trang An ecological tourism site; a project on restoration of Hoa Lu ancient capital, and another project on building Dinh Tien Hoang monument and square.

At the same time, it has zoned off and invested in dozens of tourism sites such as Trang An, Kenh Ga - Van Trinh, Cuc Phuong, and Dong Chuong lake in an attempt to provide better quality tourism as well as build its own tourism brand name, thus meeting the growing demand of domestic tourists as well as increasing competitiveness in the international market.

Currently, Ninh Binh is home to nearly 20 attractive destinations such as namely Trang An ecological site, Hoa Lu ancient capital, Tam Coc - Bich Dong and Bai Dinh Pagoda.

The recognition of Trang An complex as a world cultural and natural heritage by UNESCO has created momentum for the province's tourism growth.

It has issued numerous mechanisms, and policies in a bid to call for investment into the tourism sector.

With its current tourism infrastructure, Ninh Binh has basically met the demand of tourists.

The province's tourism sector has actively coordinated with other units and agencies in organising numerous activities.

After being badly-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, Ninh Binh has carried out numerous synchronic measures to flexibly prevent to the pandemic and revive tourism.

Management boards of tourism sites have strictly applied measures to ensure social order and environmental sanitation; prevent and control COVID-19; upgrade infrastructure, survey and study new tourism products; assist enterprises to resume their activities after the pandemic; and participate in travel fairs and conferences in an attempt to promote tourism potential and signing tourism cooperation agreements with cities and provinces nationwide.
